Matrix Reimprinting - a wonderful tool

“It’s never too late for a happy childhood” Milton Erickson

Matrix Reimprinting is a advancement of EFT, developed by Karl Dawson, an EFT Master certified by Gary Craig, based on tapping and elements of other methods. Unlike EFT, Matrix Reimprinting goes back to the time when a trauma or negative emotion occurred and works on it at its origin.

Formation of trauma

When we have a negative experience in our lives (especially in the first 6 years), we split off the part of ourselves that has been traumatized in order to better live on (without the emotional pain). A trauma in these young years can be being yelled at by an adult or someone destroying their favourite toy. The experience is stored on a DVD and played back when needed.

You can imagine these split-off parts as in a time bubble in which they are still trapped in trauma and feel the same pain. The energy of these emotions is still there. Our subconscious knows each of these time bubbles and uses them as a blueprint for our reactions. They are played back again and again as a reminder or warning when a situation resembles the initial situation, as a survival strategy, so to speak.

Transformation of Trauma

In Matrix Reimprinting we, as adults, go back to the situation. This can be imagined as a play in which the client is the director and the therapist the assistant. The client works with his younger self (which is an independent person) and helps him to cope with the situation implementing the resources and knowledge of today and tapping. Then the piece is transformed into a positive form so that new positive energy can replace the old one and the time bubble dissolves. This neutralizes the trigger that keeps playing the old “recording” and transforms it into something positive.

You go deeper than tapping alone and you can actually dissolve events. The events have still happened, but our emotional reaction is completely different.

The in this way emotionally “changed” past opens up the possibility to have a positive effect on our present and future.

Advantages over EFT: The negative emotions of a traumatic experience can be resolved more quickly and gently. It is easier to advance into core problems, even those that lie outside the patient’s conscious memory.

The client is not retraumatised, as he only intervenes as an observer. It becomes possible to get to the bottom of deep-seated beliefs and convictions, which have their origin in old experiences, and to rewrite them in your favour – in order to have had new, better experiences, which from now on accompany us in a new and supportive way.

The best method

After years of searching this method is for me the most effective and most gentle method, which I had the privilege to learn.

It has also changed my own life very much to the positive. I am grateful that I can help other people quickly and effectively in this way.
